McCain Hammers Obama's Plans for Higher Spending and Bigger Government

Here John McCain hammers Barack Obama's plans for higher government spending, higher taxes and bigger government. He criticizes Obama's record in the Senate where he requested $1 billion in pork barrel spending. McCain pledges not to raise taxes or support a tax increase. He outlines how he never asked for a single pork barrel project for his own state. John McCain promises to veto every pork barrel bill that comes across his desk.

I am sure we will see plenty more negative campaigning from the McCain camp before this election is over.

I think the American people would like some talk on the issues from both McCain and Obama. The talk is cheap about what may happen and all we are hearing is a circus from UTUBE.

I would like to see a series of debates between both. This would clarify the issues.

Obama has a very poor record on spending in the Senate.

I think the issues in this election are clear, McCain is for more of the same, Obama wants to change things.
Sadly this campaign has focsed on personalitys ever since the Clinton-Obama contest. Iam sure both McCain and Obama would make able presidents and would have skillfull aides and advisors, so it comes down to policys and as far as I can see McCain has none.

I will just take one policy issue:
Obama's solution to the energy crisis is better car tuning, proper inflation of tyres, renewable energy and smaller cars. I'm afraid this is not the full solution. McCain favours off shore drilling, nuclear, renewable and smaller cars. He is prepared to pour 300 million dollars into research on an electric car.(Obama is opposed to this)
Obama also opposes offshore drilling and nuclear.
The US has huge oil deposits waiting to be exploited. McCain energy policy is more credible.
In the Senate McCain has consistently voted against pork barrel spending. Obama has consistently supported it. McCain has differed strongly with Bush the Democrats and many fellow Republicans on higher spending.
On economic policy he is a genuine conservative.

Speaking as an electronic engineer, I know the electric car is a joke. GM had quite a good one in the mid-ninties, but they pulled it because they, like everyone else on this planet are slaves to big oil. Obama promises to tackle big oil.

Obama promises to tackle the oil companies with a windfall profits tax. They will just pass it on to the consumer.
Obama lacks coherent economic policies. His so called energy policy is a joke. The US has huge untapped oil reserves off shore. Yet Obama is opposed to off shore drilling. He is opposed to nuclear. He is opposed to coal. There is no way in the next 10 years that the US can provide sufficient energy from renewables.
